Google Cloud - Accelerate 2023

Google Cloud - Accelerate 2023

During the first weeks of January, Accelerate takes place, a major event in the world of digital innovation promoted by Google and dedicated to Googlers and strategic Partners.

Initially, the contents of the various conferences held during the two weeks of the event were the exclusive prerogative of the multinational's development and sales force, as well as of a small number of companies.

Following the pandemic, the event was moved to online streaming platforms, and this made it accessible to a larger number of Partners.

This year we at Open Gate also received the invitation to take part and, after a full immersion, we would like to tell you about some of the digital trends on which the Accelerate 2023 event was focused.

The first topic discussed was the exponential growth of the Cloud market witnessed over the past year.

Today, when a business of any kind decides to devise a strategic business plan in order to develop a project, implementation through cloud technology is taken for granted. This is a big difference compared to even just a few years ago: today cloud technology is taken for granted in order to achieve good results, a bit like the use of a computer in an office.

This, combined with the innovations in the cloud field which, over the course of 2022, made it an integral part of the ongoing digital transformation, makes Google Cloud Partners increasingly strategic in bringing tangible added value to companies.

The second topic discussed was then the aforementioned digital transformation: the latter is becoming increasingly data-driven and geared towards providing more effective data management.

Many digital assets in fact prove unfit to fully perform their task precisely because of the inability to exploit data from a 360-degree perspective.

In this area too, however, the cloud can come to the rescue, through its still little-known potential to extract predictive insights from data, thus helping to facilitate market strategies. This can happen a priori, regardless of the business that employs it.

In this regard, how could we not mention Big Query, that is, the fully managed enterprise data warehouse that simplifies data management and analysis thanks to built-in features such as machine learning, geospatial analysis and business intelligence.

Another area whose development is becoming increasingly interesting is then that of AI applied to the interpretation and prediction of market data, and consequently also to the best interaction strategies.

Over the years Google has grown its customer base, including the most innovative players in the relevant market, whose strategic activities can be used by anyone as a use case from which to draw inspiration.

Once again, this is adaptable to every type of market.

The third topic that emerged during Accelerate 2023 is that of cybersecurity and software, which we will discuss in more depth in a subsequent dedicated article.
