Gathering Specifications
Before starting to Develop, it is necessary to Design!
Would you entrust the construction of your house to someone who hasn't first shown you the plans? I don't think so… and so a new piece of Software also deserves a detailed design, which you can read and modify.
How many days will it take? It depends on the complexity of the project. 20 days might be enough, or it might take 2 months.
At the end of the design work, we will release a document that describes in detail how your software will be made: every single screen, every single field of every screen… A detailed and understandable design, which you can comment on and correct, until you get what you really wanted.
Development
Custom software requires many days of development, because every single field of every single screen described in the specifications document will have to be tailor-made for you.
The duration of this phase is also highly variable: is the project complex? Will the Software have many screens? Will there also be an App?
It could last 1 month or 6 months: for custom software of medium complexity you should expect 2-3 months of development.
You will be involved in this stage too: once a week you will be invited to check on the progress of the work.
Go-live
Once development is complete, you will be asked to test your software far and wide. Once this testing phase is over, your software can finally be used in production.
