Job offer - Senior Cloud Engineer
At Open Gate we deal with App Modernization, Lift & Shift Migrations, CI/CD and cloud native applications for Startups, SMEs and Enterprises. For our Customers we build and maintain custom Cloud infrastructures, mainly on Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.
The ideal candidate for this position has at least 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer/Cloud Engineer. The role involves the analysis, design, implementation and management of complex Cloud infrastructures on behalf of Open Gate's customers. The candidate will also work closely with the Open Gate development team to support the deployment processes of applications and the underlying infrastructures.
The skills required for this position are:
- Extensive GNU/Linux or, alternatively, Microsoft Windows systems administration experience
- Mastery of Bash or PowerShell scripting
- Good knowledge of networking and the main protocols
- Good knowledge of IT security and identity management principles
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Excellent ability to work both in a team and independently
- Ability to deal directly with the customer
- Genuine passion for IT and Open Source
- Strong desire to learn and put new technologies to the test
The following are also appreciated:
Experience in one or more of the following technologies is required:
- Experience with IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Cloud technologies on the main Cloud Providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud)
- Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud certifications
- Knowledge of containers (Docker/containerd)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
- Advanced networking knowledge (BGP, IPSec)
