Site managed by an AIDeskPro agent: what does it mean?

If you scroll all the way down this page, under the copyright, you will find a line that may have made you curious: "Site managed by an AI agent AIDeskPro".

It is not a slogan and it is not a marketing trick. It is exactly what it says: this site is managed by an agent. Today we tell you what that means, in simple words.

What is AIDeskPro?

AIDeskPro is our generative AI Tool: a platform where you can chat with the best artificial intelligence models, upload your documents and get help writing, summarising and analysing. The latest versions also have agentic features: it does not just answer you, it can also do things on your behalf. And the "agent" in the line at the bottom of the page is exactly this.

What is an agent?

A regular AI answers you: you ask a question, it gives you a text. An agent goes one step further: it acts. It understands what you want, decides what is needed to get it and does it, using the right tools. We talked about it here: AI is the brain, the agent is brain plus hands plus initiative.

How do you usually publish a post?

You usually need three things, and almost always three different people: someone to write the text, someone to prepare the image and someone who knows the technical tools to put everything online. Three steps, three hand-offs, and a simple post becomes a small undertaking.

And with the agent?

You chat. Really. You write to the agent, in plain English, as you would with a colleague:

  • "I would like a post explaining this, in an informal tone"
  • "The image is too dark, make it more like the other ones on the site"
  • "Put it in a test version, I want to take a look"

And it writes the text, draws the image (with the yellow frame and the usual colours), creates the page and publishes it. All in one place, inside the same conversation. No technical skills required: you only need to be able to say what you want.

Real examples, from these past weeks:

  • The old WordPress site, cloned in full. Pages, blog articles, images, contact forms, Italian and English versions: the agent recreated the entire old WordPress site in this new version, keeping the same addresses as before, so that the links already out there (campaigns, search engines) keep working.
  • Old articles with no images. Many images were missing in posts from a few years ago. The agent recreated them, one by one, in line with the style of the site.
  • The AIDeskPro page in English. It had videos that could not be seen. We asked it to align it with the Italian version and to translate whatever was missing.
  • This very post. Text and featured image were born in a chat, as we have just told you.

And WordPress?

Until recently our website was WordPress, with its admin panel, its plugins and everything else. Today none of that is left. There is no back office to learn and no editor to paste your texts into: there is only a place to chat with the agent and to preview the changes, and then decide whether to put them into production.

So it does everything on its own?

No, and that is a good thing. The agent works with precise rules: it first puts the changes in a test version of the site, where we can check calmly, and it updates the real site only when a person asks it to. There are also things it never touches without explicit instructions, such as the addresses of existing pages.

In practice: the agent proposes and executes, a person decides. Less effort, same control.

Technical skill does not disappear, it moves: from "how do I do it" to "what do I want to do".
